CCC understands the importance of recycling material as part of our demolition and earthwork business. Not only is this cost-effective for our business, it is beneficial for the environment as our landfills continue to lose needed space. CCC's approach to demolition is to be environmentally conscience, and takes steps to recycle as much building materials as possible.
Colorado Cleanup Corporation has been participating in hundreds of recycling and LEED projects since its inception. Millions of tons of materials have been recycled or re-purposed from our projects. The average demolition project consists of the recycling of at least 90% of building materials. CCC recycles both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as concrete demolition debris.
CCC has assisted general contractors and owners with developing valued engineered options for various levels of recycling. One example that works for many projects is the recycling of onsite concrete from the demolition for use as structural fill. This option saves the owner in hauling, dump fees and purchase of required materials. The net effect of this is the diversion of thousands of tons of materials from landfills.
We provide owners options for varying levels of contaminant abatement to facilitate recycling of concrete and metals. CCC has participated in all levels of LEED building projects. We provide materials tracking data to assist the verification of LEED points.
